This is an activity with a difference.

  • We offer workshops - at schools, vacation care centres, fetes, fundraisers, parties etc..
  • Our workshops are completely self sufficient with everything supplied and functional.

  • Health and Safety Regulations (level 2) are met and a $10.000.000 Public Liability is supplied by us.



The basic idea for the participants to dip their wicks into 8 different coloured pots of wax, until the candle reaches a certain thickness to be able to carve and shape it. The outcome is a colourful candle shaped into: flowers, animals etc...

This workshop will apply to many subjects.
For example there would be:

  • 'History' of making candles and the importance that was placed upon the candle as the only source of light only 100 years ago, until it was superceded by gas and electric light.
  • 'Science' of making candles, where many questions like 'why does the candle float on top of the water' or when does wax melt' are answered.
  • 'Art' of making candles, where imagination and creativity will be used in carving and shaping each candle individually.

The children will feel a great sense of achievement when they have their own finished product to take home.

The candles are approx 17cm
high and 15cm wide
Burning time approx 4 hours.


Cost $7.00 per candle with a
minimum order of 20 candles,
plus postage and handling.
